Zalan Klauda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics. After spending few years working in the private sector, volunteering and traveling, he decided to continue his education. He’s currently attending a Master’s degree course in International Relations at Budapest Corvinus University in Hungary.

His special research areas are Russian politics and energy security. For this reason he spent one semester in Russia in 2017 at the National Research University Higher School of Economics. There he took courses like “Issues of Contemporary Russian Politics” and “Modern Political Science”, so he managed to take a closer look at the design of the Russian political scene from an inner perspective.

He tries hard to find time for his hobbies like reading, learning languages and practicing martial arts.

As an EST Ambassador, he plans to help Hungarian students to express their commitments towards the European Union and European values, which are possibly harder to recognise in the current political reality.
