Opportunity to gain experience in a thriving and developing team: The EST was founded in 2010 and has been growing over the years. We now have more than 100 members from a wide range of nationalities and backgrounds.
A Global Network: The EST is your chance to work closely with an international team of Ambassadors, writers, researchers, editors and creatives from both European and non-European countries, and to form connections based on your common interests.
Skills: Volunteering for the EST will shape and develop a variety of skills, from your ability to communicate in a team and organise around differing commitments, to strengthening your understanding of events’ management, the different publications and writing styles through our training workshops. CV and Recommendation Letter: The EST will look great to an employer, demonstrating a passionate interest in shaping policy and the world around it, and a sustained understanding of international and European affairs! We are more than happy to provide a recommendation letter for our contributors once they finish their terms with us.
Applications for International Officers 2024-2025 OPEN
The International Officers of the European Student Think Tank oversee our team of Ambassadors in coordination with the Head of the International Office. They are responsible for supporting our diverse team of EST representatives and guide and update them about all the initiatives of the Think Tank. Most importantly, the International Office should help the Think Tank grow strategically in a way that gives space for their Ambassadors to develop their professional hard and soft skills and achieve their fullest potential as young critical thinkers and motivated actors.

- Strong leadership skills
- Being able to actively listen to your Ambassadors’ team needs and guide them through the EST to ensure their success and that the Ambassadors have a pleasant experience throughout the term
- Motivate your team to be creative and respect important deadlines
Application process
You can submit your application by filling out the form you can find here. You will have to answer some questions specific to your role and upload your CV (max. 2 pages) in PDF format.
The Call for Applications will be open until 10th of August (23:59 CEST). Applications will be screened on a rolling basis, so you can be contacted for an interview between the end of July and August 2024. If we find suitable candidates before the deadline, the EST reserves the right to close the call earlier.
The International Office will be composed of 5 International Officers and one Head of the International Office (the spokesperson of the group). As a member of this team, you should be able to set the example to your assigned team of Ambassadors and keep this role until July 2025.
It is expected that every international officer is able to commit from 5 to 8 hours per week to this function, especially during the first months, considering you will be in charge of the recruitment of the new EST Ambassadors.
