Are you interested in working with a pan-European group of students and young professionals sharing your same vision for the EU? Would you like to help this group to get involved in the policy-making process putting your communication skills into practice? Then apply for the position of Deputy Director of Communication of the EST!

As the EST Deputy Director of Communication you will work hand in hand with the Director of Communications. This position will allow you to put into practice your knowledge in communications and leadership skills. It is a great opportunity to test your capacities surrounded by a young and dynamic environment and to expand your network. This role will demand 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the elaborate and implementation of the communication strategy of the EST along with the Director of Communications. 
  • Lead the communications team with the mission to actively communicate the EST’s work and values
  • Weekly planning of publications
  • Come-up with ideas for the creation of content
  • Support with the coordination of the communications team by assigning tasks and ensuring that the communications strategy is implemented.
  • Represent the Director of Communications during Board Meetings if necessary

Requirements

  • Excellent command of English
  • Strong organisational skills 
  • Creative and imaginative skills
  • Basic knowledge of the use of social media
  • Basic knowledge of Canva (or familiarity with another graphic editor and the motivation to become familiar with Canva)
  • Basic knowledge of WordPress and the motivation to learn more
  • Have a vision for the EST

Optional but an asset: provide examples of previous projects or experience in communications (website design samples, graphic samples or videos samples)

The Call for Applications will be open until July 6th 2025 (23:59 CEST). Applications will be screened on a rolling basis, so you can be contacted for an interview in July 2025. If we find suitable candidates before the deadline, the EST reserves the right to close the call earlier. 

Expected start date is August 2025.
