The Sunday Sentinel is a website founded in 2015 that addresses issues of political injustice faced by the youth in indigenous and marginalised communities found in emerging economies, specifically BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) and MINT (Mexico, Indonesia, Nigeria, Turkey) countries. Through its website, the Sunday Sentinel aims to provide students, budding researchers, young activists, and aid workers an opportunity to write about some of key issues faced by communities that the world knows little about despite access to information and technology. The Sunday Sentinel’s key objective is to fill the void created by woeful media representation given to such communities, spread awareness, and in essence, to provide the voiceless with a voice.
