February 2016 the EST will pay a visit to the International Criminal Court! The ICC is an intergovernmental organization and international tribunal that is located in The Hague! The ICC has the jurisdiction to prosecute individuals for the international crimes of genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes and it may one day be able to exercise jurisdiction over the crime aggression. International criminals are being trialed here, and a lot of international press is interested in the activities of this Court.
Our visit consists of a guided tour and talk (1 hour 30 minutes) on the mandate, structure and the activities of the Court. Afterwards we will attend a hearing according to the Court’s schedule.
To joint the event: send an e-mail to eventsmanager.est@gmail.com with your full name, nationality, passport/ID number and date of birth. Be precise since this is important for the ICC’s application procedure.
We hope to see you all on February the 12th!
